| AICE's
aim |
AICE's main intent is to defend the Association's interests,
in particular those relating to the Associates, through the
following actions:
- strategies planning aimed at promoting the expansion
of this business sector through the development of new
products and advanced technologies;
- the Product Category's unit representation (i) vs. the
seats where the economical policy, both at Italian and
European level, is elaborated and (ii) vs. the Utiliser
Bodies of prominent importance;
- the Product Category's unit representation vs. the
Technical Standardisation Bodies at Italian, European
and International level.

Institutional activities |
On the basis of the above, AICE's institutional activity
develops along the following routes:

the first one, having a
strategic/policy character, promoted by the
Association General Secretariat; |

the second one, having
mainly a technical/standardizing character, conducted
by the Technical Secretariat. |

secretariat activities |
EUROPE
- To attend the work developed in the Bodies hereunder
listed for discussing all the subjects regarding power
cables (and related accessories), telecommunication
cables, data and control cables, winding wires.
- COMITÉ EUROPÉEN DE NORMALISATION ELECTROTECHNIQUE (CENELEC)
- EUROPEAN TELECOMMUNICATIONS STANDARD INSTITUTE (ETSI)
- EUROPEAN CONFEDERATION OF ASSOCIATIONS OF
MANUFACTURERS OF INSULATED CABLES AND WIRES (EUROPACABLE)
- To support the development of new ENs (European Norm),
HDs (Harmonisation Document) or ENVs (European
pre-Standard) for products already in existence or newly
conceived.
ITALY
- To attend the works of the Italian Electrotechnical
Commission (CEI) concerning all the subjects regarding
power cables and related accessories, telecommunication
cables, data and control cables, winding wires.
- To inform the Associates about the CEI's works and to
support the development of the Standards for all
products already in existence or newly conceived.
- To implement and to maintain contacts at a
technical-standardization level with the most important
Bodies involved in the Association business, such as
ENEL, TELECOM ITALIA, FERROVIE DELLO STATO,
FEDERELETTRICA, etc.
INTERNATIONAL
- To attend the works of the International
Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) concerning all the
subjects regarding power cables and related accessories,
telecommunication cables, data and control cables,
winding wires.
- To inform the Associates about the IEC's works and to
support the development of Standards for products
already in existence or newly conceived products.
