Turnover   During the year 2007 the cable market shown an increase of the total turnover which did not affect all the segments of this sector. In particular:

Power and signalling cables   Increase of the turnover of the LV cables due also to the raise of the raw materials’ prices. The MV Cables have recorded a positive trend while the HV Cables have shown a slight reduction of the exports.

Data and contro power cables   Good total increase of the section, due to a strong increment of the foreign market.

Telecommunication cables   As a whole, the Telecom market 2007 is substantially lower than 2006 little more than 1 Million Euros. As for the fibre optics, the volumes are light increase with prices in reduction of 5%. The copper cables have shown a strong reduction in volumes with increasing prices due to the cost of the raw materials. Market export in contraction of 15%.

Winding Wires   The year 2007 market situation shown a strong reduction (-20%) of the turnover with respect to year 2006 on the domestic market and a positive signal on sales to export. The first part of year 2007 shown a stabilization of the market with slight decreases starting from the month of June. During the second part of 2007 the market decreased considerably due to: * the delocalization of big Customers that reduced the demand of enameled/winding wires in the national market; * the Imports from Spain, Greece and Turkey; * the continuous increase of costs of transports, energy and financing.
